Prior to the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied. To protect the eyes, an eye shield similar to a contact lens is also required. During the procedure, the deeper layers of the skin will be heated by the lasers at 42 – 45°C. The Fotona Laser works on the inside of your under the eyelid to reduce the targeted fat below the under eyelid from the inside. This way, fat from the lower eyelid can be reduced without making any cuts or wounds (as in done in surgery). This heating will also stimulate collagen production.
