Blackheads are small, dark coloured bumps that form on your skin as a result of clogged hair follicles. Blackheads, which are in fact a mild form of acne, are often associated with the nose because that is where they are very commonly found. However, they are also found on other parts of the face, as well as on other parts of the body, including the back, chest, neck, arms, and shoulders. There are several factors that contribute to the formation of blackheads. These include excessive body oil production, hormonal changes that affect body oil production levels and the formation of bacteria on the skin.

What is the Gold PTT Treatment?

The Gold PTT Acne Treatment is the latest inclusion in Cambridge to help control sebum production and pore reduction.

How does it work?

Firstly, the pores will be thoroughly cleansed with a gentle and comfortable Aquajet Facial. This step cleans out the pores of all debris to prepare it for the following steps.

Next, a later of gold-coated silica nanoparticles will be applied and massaged into the pores using ultrasonic waves from the LDM® tech.

This is then “activated” with the Pico 450 laser, the fastest skin laser available, to destroy the sebaceous glands without causing any damage to the surrounding tissues.

Lastly, low-level laser therapy will be used to promise a speedy recovery for the skin.

Apart from cleansing the skin of blackheads, this procedure effectively controls sebum to reduce the recurrence of whiteheads and blackheads.

The number of sessions required to achieve best results can vary from person to person depending on how the skin reacts to the treatment.
