What are acne scars and what causes them?

Acne scars result from severe cases of acne. When the follicle or pore becomes engorged with excess oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria, inflamed blemishes occur. A break in the follicle wall (lesions) results from the swelling of the pore. In severe cases, deep breaks in the follicle wall occur causing the infected material to spill and destroy healthy skin tissue. As a result, the skin will repair the damage by forming new collagen fibres (collagen gives the skin its strength and flexibility), however, the skin will not look as smooth and flawless as before, thus scarring will be observed (acne scars).

How does PDRN Skin Healer work?
